For you Nano owners out there, what types of livestock could you put in a 1g nano tank? It would have an air stone only no other filtration.

I would put a porcelain crab and some snails. (And heavily stock it with corals, of course) IMO, it's too small for fish.

I don't have it yet, just considering. There is one for sale at work as a United way fundraiser.

I was thinking maybe a mantis?

would a shrimp/goby work? i mean the goby would mostly be in the tunnel with the shrimp right? I think it's fine as far as space goes. The problem will be keeping the nutrients down. That's a big bioload for only 1g.

I was thinking maybe a mantis? A mantis would definately be cool!

Knowing what I know now, I am quite against a tank that small housing anything but some nice liverock and a few snails.

Coral magazine featured some of these "nano" in the past.
Most of them have shrimp and/or leather corals in them only...

I was thinking maybe some mushrooms or other low light coral and maybe a small crab or shrimp. I normally wouldn't even bother but the tank was bought to help support a good cause and I will be able to keep a very little piece of my tank at work. Anything any bigger might raise some concerns.

Does anybody have a link to a good nano site?

try nanoreef.com or the nano section at reefcentral.com both are excellent sources of nano information. BTW 1 gallon is considered a pico reef try a search at about.com there are some good international links there to tanks that small HTH. Joe
