DJ88,
Sweet tank, sory to hear about the crash, lose much?
My tank has only been up and running since the beginning of October. LR only went in 3weeks ago. Took two and a half weeks for the dust to settle for the Southdown.
Hey geek, where's your pic?

I would not mind posting a picture, but the quality of pictures from my cam (Intel cs630 pc cam) is so sh*tt*, I can't stand them. I bought that cam after reading a review that said it took sharp pictures.:worried: :worried:

The heater stuck on overnight. Took the tank to 94 degrees.
Looking better now tho.. COming around slowly. If you go to Canreef and look in the photo gallery you will see shots of how it is doing now.. I dont have a full tnak shot yet. fighting a bit of a diatom hair algae and cyano bloom after the cycle finished.

Hello folks
I'm new to this board. I've been into the saltwater hobby for 4 years. I started with a 125 gallon reef and have now moved on to a 280. Here is a pic of my 125 when it was at its peak. Also a pic of my 280 as it looks right now at 1 month.

All the pix are remotely hosted. Just click the "IMG" button at the top of the composition screen, and you can add as many as you would like!

Reefin Geek,
Not a plumber, but learning
Only recommendation I would have to make is it looks good, easy maintenance, but being completely solid piped, I get vibrations from the pump transferred to the sump. Next project I will break the straight sections and pump in some hose to reduce the vibrations.

Theo,
It was a capricornis. that was shortly after I bought it. It was a fair bit larger by the time the tank crashed. My new scrolling montiopra is pretty sweet tho.. All the light area around the outside is new growth in two weeks. about a 1/4 inch or so.. close to 1/2 in spots.

It's very cool. Do you still have it? Maybe a frag to trade? Or do you know the common name?

I don't have my old capricornis. It was killed when my tank crashed. I do have the one I just posted a picture of tho. I'll be waiting a bit longer before I trade anymore frags of it.
It's name is Montipora Capricornis, scrolling or plating montipora

Is that a really close up shot? Like how tall is it?
afss
December 15th, 2001, 09:02 AM
It is around 2-3 inches tall and wide, it started at nothing from a piece of live rock that I have had for almost two years. It started growing about 4 months ago.
The beige color is just detrius from some worms in the rocks.
