Ok so its midnight and i have to get up at 5am for an exam, and my emerald crab just spawned. It opened its belly like a trunk and expelled about 200 offspring(larva?). I know they are not just ovum because they have eyes and move towards the light. I know Cleaner shirmp spawn often in the aquarium and i ahve looked into raising them, would i go about the same for the emerald crabs?
I have left a good portion in my main tank, its a 10g thats just through its cycle so unless the snails attack i think they have a pretty good chance of forging there, The others i have put in a seperate conatiner. I have to go home tomorow for thanks giving (6 hour drive) if they survive ill buy some phyto and try to rais them.
Is there a chance this will happen again (i only have one crab, have had it for 3 days so im guessing no) and has anyone ever doen this before? thanks
