Little red balls showed up near the snowflake eel, so I'm assuming those are eggs?

What do I need to do? I only have 1 eel. There are other fish in the tank that I am sure will eat the eggs, so I have seperated them into a little breeder type net. Will they hatch? Are they even fertilized?

Those are great questions. If you could include a short description of your tank, ie. size, components and inhabitants then maybe some help can come from this resource.

At the very least let us know what happens so that others may learn from your experience.

With out a mate the eggs will not be fertile, let the fish eat em.

I thought the eels were like hermaphrodites or something similar, and fertilize their own eggs? I read that somewhere today.
