after almost 2 years of everyone being healthy... i now have a sleeper head gobie with one eye that has gotten cloudy over the past few days...
i know i have to get him out to a Q tank... but i dont have one..!!
i was going to set up a 5 gal bucket with a heater and air stone.. maybe drop in a piece of plastic pipe for him to hide in.. and then do the old medicine trick..
i have no idea what to use... i have heard to to use maracyn 2 as it is meant for that.. but what about maracyn... and as well there is something called
melfix..which is made from tea tree oil..and is supposed to be ok to dose in the main tank...( do i want to risk it)

biggest prob....catch the bugger...!!

how long should i keep him in Q... and any other ideas are appreciated...
i hope i dont loose this guy... i know he can live with it..but maybe i can get him back .... healthy again... he seems active and eats ok...

is it contagious as well... meaning have to do everyone in the tank...
as well i am in midst of doing a large water change over a few days... to try and get anything in tank out... i really would like to just treat him in the tank... if possible... because i know i wont catch him... any suggestions or tricks on what to do.. thanks...

Hello, I tried melfix, skimmer went nuts, the house smelled like listerene and nothing happened. I think you should look at a 10 gal tank, big als has them for less than 20 dollars, and nothing works better than to catch him at dinner time!!

I have found that waiting til lights out and then stunning the fish temporarily with a flash light beam works well. I guess that would be different for a fish that likes to hide out in the rock work.

You tank is due for a new aqua scape anyway isn't it :D
