Happy to of found this site. I have noticed that in one of the earlier posts someone purchased live rock from Big Al's. I noticed on their website that there is no reference to them selling live rock, inverts or fish. Do they? and if they do where do I find it on line. Thanks...Brent

WELCOME to the Forum Brent!!
Big Als does sell LR...however, only at their stores and not online. They have a lot of livestock, but they only sell equipment and supplies from their web site.
Not trying to bash anyone, but most people can tell you that the quality and prices from stores like Big Als aren't that good. This is one of the primary reasons we have started AquariumPros.ca - to provide excellent quality and pricing throughout the marine/reef keeping industry. We are a small business, that is focusing on QUALITY and not QUANTITY.
If you need anything marine/reef related...and you can hold on a BIT longer; I can assure you that AuqariumPros.ca can and will satisfy your needs completely. If you can't wait for items...then I suggest that you look at other Mail-Order suppliers, or a PRIVATE smaller LFS (though I'm not familliar with any in the Sault).
I look forward to future posts from you...
Best luck,
Brent

Thanks for the response. I have been in the reef hobby for about 6 years. I have had a 55g and a 75g. Just after my daughter's first birthday she lobbed a golf ball and it hit the front of my tank. I got nervous and decided to get rid of it. I am now in the process of starting up a 100 gallon corner tank(reef).
I can definitely hold on for you folks to get going. The one thing I have learned in this hobby is patience.
Thanks....Brent

Brent...
You have a great amount of knowledge to share with 6-years in the 'addiction'! Please feel free to post whenever you can!
Our livestock holding/propogation area is still conditioning and cycling...so livestock (including LR) will be available soon!
Are you in need of anything in the equipment/supplies catagory? If so...please let me know and I will get you a price. I am in the LONG process of uploading all of the items we will be selling to the server...and it doesn't seem that the list is getting any shorter! :crosseyes
Please do let us know if you need anything, and in the interim...keep visiting and posting. (that and tell EVERYBODY to visit us too)! :D
Again...WELCOME!!

Hey Guys,
Here is my inaugural post! Just wanted to say hi, my name is Andrew, and I have a problem.... I keep a reef tank!
Hey Brent, not to take away from this site and the coming online store, but here are some other Canadian online places:
J&L Aquatics (http://www.jlaquatics.com)
Seacare (http://www.seacare.org)
Both are here on the west coast, but do mail order of all their goods. J&L Aquatics has a retail store here as well, and I can attest to the quality of the livestock and excellent prices.
I'm looking forward to seeing some more competition in the Canadian landscape though, so I welcome AquariumPros to the scene!

Thanks For the reply Canadawest. THere are very few Canadian retailers out there that I am aware of. I live on the Canada/U.S border so in the past I would go to the states but with the exchange rates and hassles at the border not to mention travelling a good distance I am glad to see someone close for shipping purposes. I could never order live rock or fish from B.C because the shipping is very high. Thanks Brent.....

Hello everyone,
Don't forget www.saltwaterconnection.com, in Winnipeg. You can't actually order online except through email, but their website is pretty comprehensive, and they do a lot of fragging so you can buy captive raised for a decent price.

Thanks Covenant...
I have heard very good things about Jayson and Saltwater Connection. I had a chance to chat with him only here the other day...seems like a great guy!
As for AquariumPros.ca's livestock...we too will be doing a large amount of fragging, so our goal will be to offer 98% of our livestock as captive raised!
Just our part to help save the reefs, and promote healthy, happy livestock!
Again, welcome to the forum and we hope to see you here often!
Regards,
