Hey all, I know that nano's have bigger swings in temperatre PH, salinity etc, due to the smaller water-volume. Was wondering what kind of fluctuations everyone else is having with their nano's

Me: 10g tank, 175MHWatts, packed with LR. SPS, LPS, Softies. 2 small fish. Macro Algae.

My Daily specs:
Temp- 78 night - 84 day
PH- 8.2 - 8.5
Salinity- 1.024 - 1.023
Evaporation - a litre? a day
ALK- 8
Ca-400

I plan on setting up a daily drip maybe to even out the salinity changes.
I dont know how to keep the PH steadier. I'd like a sump with reverse lighting cycle.. but no room etc.
I might buy a Ronco temp controller hooked up to a fan to even out temp.
"
I'm not too worried about it for now, since everything is doing pretty well, but
I'd sleep better if it were more stable.

Anyone else with stats or thoughts?

Chris

Hey Chris,

Here's my spec for my 10 gal:
Temp: 76 night - 80 day
PH: around 8.3 (don't test that often :P)
Salinity: 1.024 - 1.026
Evaporation: 200 ml a day during winter....a lot less during summer
ALK: 9 the last time I check
Ca: 450 +

That's my stats, my tank's covered up pretty well with all the small gobies that I keep (damn jumpers :D). So the evaporation rate's not that high. As for temperature, my PC came with a fan in the hood, so it never gets any hotter than 80 in my tank. I also dose calcium daily too......I guess that's about all I can say about mine.
