I had Sebae anemone in my 10G nano for two weeks. I didn't do any research before buing so I got 'bleached one'. After two weeks it has healthy brownish color. I feed it every other day same food that I feed my clarkii which is Hikari Tropical Marine S food.
My clarkii clown never took interest in it, it was actually more interested in a fake anemone then the real one. On friday I bought tank raised percula clown and it's a baby, less than 1" long. When I put it in the tank it went straight to the anemone, but then it noticed clarkii which is about 1.5" long and never returned to the anemone. Now it fallows clarkii everywhere.
Should I return clarkii to the store and hope that percula will get back to anemone or is it a lost case and it won't host at all?
I moved my 10G to brand new 37G tank so they're swimming 'miles' away from anemone.

Sometimes it takes time for a clown to get into the anemone. I sure after a while one of them maybe both will take to it.

I would only fee the anemone 2 times a week every other day and you risk over feeding it and messing up you water quality.

Few days passed. Good news, they don't swim together anymore. But my clarkii started feeding the fake anemone which is funny 'cause first he eats pods that are hiding in it, then when i feed him he brings some of the food and puts right in there, he also likes to brush against it's tentacles and on top of that my bicolour blenny feeds on the algea growing on those tentacles. It's the center of attention for my fish :)

Hi,

I have a few question about the sebae anemone. I have a green tip anemone and it was bleached when i got it. I also did not do research. My question is did your anemone anchor itself the first day you got it. Because I think mine is having a hard time doing so. Mine is regetting food, but that is probably because it is new to the tank. I have a 10 gallon nano also. Also what kind of lighting do you have?

Thanks,
Dat Nguyen
