Hiya, everyone.

I'd like to use this product to seal up a few finely detailed ornaments I'd like to add to my freshwater tank.

clear sealer (http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/cov/cov9015.htm)

I've read of people using two-part epoxy PAINT to safely waterproof plywood tanks, so I THINK this would be ok...? I know that if it's considered "potable", it would be aquarium safe, but I can't seen to find that info regarding this particular product.

I've posted this Q on 5 other boards, days ago, and have not gotten ANY responses.

It's hard to say for certain what effects it will have if any. I think this is one of those things it would be best to be cautious with and not use it unless you can find more info on it. Most are safe to use, but unless some RC airplane hobbiest have used it and can say one way or the other I wouldn't use it.

sazz,
Most two part epoxies once they've setup and are cured properly are tough as nails anddurable as all get out. I don't imagine it would be much of a problem. Double the curing time to make sure that the propellant has dissipated for sure.
You could also try a test piece or perhaps a quick email to the manufacturer.

sazz,
After perusing the coverite website and deducing the product use I would be very hesitant to use this product in/on/near my tank, mostly due to the fact that the thickness when dry might not be adequate enough and may flake. Freshwater might be a different story though, as I have no experience with FW, like a fish outta water if you will. :D
