200Gallons comes in boxes.

Flavio - Are you dropping the price on 160g buckets?

we dont carry the pails,we just had them in boxing day as the wharehouse we deal with in ohio was out of 200g boxes.the box turns out to be the better deal.

not when you're buying the 160 gal pail for $38.88! it appears most people stocked up @ BA's last week. I think salt will be a tough sell for a while. Although, it's a good price for those who missed the boat.

big als normaly sells the pails for more than $64.99.the $38.88 price was for boxing week only.

I recall seeing a post from someone BC that JL sells the 160g buckets for $39.99 on a regular basis. How can they afford to get it for so cheap?!?!

not shipping it all the way to ontario I would wager...

salt is all shipping as jl has a great advantage due to them being close to the main wharehouses in california,we incure double or more shipping costs to ontario.

Well the salt had to come up from the states anyway...

Instant Ocean Headquarters is in Mentor, Ohio.

Distance from Mentor, Ohio to Toronto, Ontario = 433.7KM's.
Distance from Mentor, Ohio to Burnaby, British Columbia = 4,157KMs.

(edit)
Ooops. I posted that prior to Flavio's response.

That makes more sense.

It is not the HQ that matters....
It is the manufacturing facilities and distribution centre....

I got the quote below from jl's site???

Please Note: UPS and Canada Post charge a $5.00 handling fee for buckets of salt.

it is indeed distr. places not where the salt is made,as the main distr. facility is in california,

Agreed. Shipping from Cali to BC would indeed be cheaper than Cali to Ontario.

That's why I (edit)ed my post. :)

It's a $5.00 extra charge on top of the shipping charge. It's not just $5.00 to ship.
