Trouble with Thunderbird

For some reason I can't seem to send but can recieve. It keeps coming up with a SMTP error message. Outlook works fine. All the settings are identical to Outlook. I'm running Win98SE.

Any ideas?

Could be lots of things, does your mail server require you to authenticate before sending out? if you pasted in the error it might help a little ;)

I found the problem. It was late when I set up Thunderbird last night and I missed the smtp option window. It's working now.
