Hey folks, I've got a piece of Xenia crashing. Any suggestions??

Tank specs-
65Gal with 15Gal sump
Temp 81
Alk 11.2dKh
Ph Approx 8.2 (I think I'm color blind and wife wasn't around)
Sal 1.023

I dose with Iodine once a week with Kent's Expert series.

The only thing that I did differently was add my make up water with a combination of iodine and coral vite.. Anybody think this might have been the cause?

Gord

I really like my xenia.....

in our club...MAST marine aquarium society of toronto... this is one of the topics of chatting all the time.... i think everyone has had a xenia crash of some sort..

from what i recall .. there are lots of reasons...some not your fault ..and some that are..that causes it to crash... it seems that some people have weeds and some cant grow it.. so there is probably no real reason..but if you ask frank or aj..they may have a better answer.. but some say you are lucky that it crashed and some are mad ..there is alot of different ideas with it.. sorry i cant give you a straight answer..but there may not be one...!! :D
