I have a Canon Digital Rebel with kit lens. Still learning how to use it. It isn't a point and shoot that's for sure but it can take some fantastic pictures with the right lighting. I want to get a good macro lens for it someday.

I use a Kodak CX 7220, 2.0 MP
Not the best camera on the market. Was in my price range and it takes great shots.
Here's a pic. This coral is only 2" tall.

Nikon D70, again not a point and shoot and when I get used to it I'm hoping to be posting pics almost as nice as mitches LOL. Also have a Cannon A40, nice camera with nice features. Used alot of digital cameras through work and I'm still partial to Canon with Nikon as a close second when it comes to Digital. FYI, three things to consider when looking at digital cameras is, lens quality, CCD quality (size) and lastly the mega pixels. Just because its a 4 Meg camera doesn't mean it takes better pics, I've seen many pics taken with a 2 Meg cam that were far better than a 3 or 4. The only criteria I follow when looking at digital cameras is to buy one that manufactured by a 'Camera Company' ie. Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Pentax etc
Just my opinion. (& photography instructor's)

Ones that i am currently using are the Olympus C2500L and Canon G3 to take shots of my tank....
both VERY good but different... I did have a hard time adjusting to the LCD viewfinder for focusing but i sort of got used to it... Olympus is the TTL system so I find it so much easier to focus... buy my girlfrind thinks it's ugly... lol

Olympus C-5060. Great features although I continue to have problems getting the lighting and white-balance right (more my error than the camera's). I especially like this camera because you can get a waterproof shell for it and take diving pictures. I was on a reef in Mexico and it took GREAT pics. Link to pics:

I use a Fuji S2 Pro SLR with a Nikon 28-70 f/2.8 AF-S lens or a Sigma 105 f/2.8 macro.
Definitely not a point and shoot.

I Use the Nikon 8700 not a point and shoot camera you need some sort of skill however you can put the camera in auto which will pretty much turn into a point and shoot camera, if your shooting only macros then I would go for the Nikon 4600 but if you want it for everything then I would go for the 8700 it is a bit pricey but its well worth the money. here is a sample of a hammer coral in macro

Cannon A80. It is just a general all purpose digital but works well. It too can be adjusted but the auto works well even in macro.

Nikon D2H Professional Digital SLR with Nikon 24-120 zoom and 60mm Macro... I need to play with the white balance and try different lighting techniques. I'm just patiently waiting to have some critters in my tank so I will have some subjects to shoot!
