Calgary Fish Show- Labour Day Weekend

If you are in our part of Canada, be sure not to miss the Calgary Aquarium Society big fish show and massive auction on the Labour day weekend. The show runs Saturday through Monday at the Highland Park Community Centre, 3716 2nd Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta...12-6 Sat, 10-6 Sun., and 10-3 Monday. The auction should be huge this year....something like 750+ lots expected, and it runs 11-6 Sunday.

I have 7 fish entered in three categories, with ribbons, trophies, cash prizes, and public acclaim to be won....wish me luck.

Whoohoo...I picked up second and third places in "Catfish, All Other Varieties", First place in "Egglayers, All Other Varieties", first place in "Egglayers, Pairs", and "Best of Show"!

At today's auction, I scooped up a ton of Anubias barteri barteri, A. barteri 'nana', A. barteri 'augustifolia', and A. barteri 'coffeefolia' as well as a bunch of Neolamprologus brichardi, a few more Corydoras barbatus, some Julidochromis ornatus, and a big bag of Java fern...all for under $50 (I love those auctions).
